Dr. Gloria Casale grew up in a small blue collar town in New Jersey. She earned a degree in nursing from Rutgers University, a medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed advanced training in anesthesiology, as well as preventive medicine and public health. In addition, she earned a Master of Science in public health. After 9/11, she received training in bioterrorism and bioterrorism response at the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases and is a recognized expert in the international transport of disease.
