Historic Algonquin Hotel

Posted by K R on

Hello Art, et al

This photo was taken inside the historic Algonquin hotel in Saint Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada when the building was undergoing a massive facelift after being purchased by the Marriot chain. The workman in the photo has no idea of the presence floating just a few meters away.

The ghost appears to be female and wearing clothing of an older, perhaps much older, style. I feel it is a sort of nightdress, perhaps. This region of New Brunswick has been inhabited by settlers since the 1600's and by the Mik'maq Native tribe for thousands of years before that. As a side note, the Algonquin hotel was also the setting for many interior scenes in Stanley Kubrick's THE SHINING.

Thanks, DARK MATTER, for this great contest. Hope I win!
