Psycho House: The Many Faces of the Bates Mansion

It’s one of the most iconic houses of television and film: the Bates mansion, from Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller Psycho. There’s nothing warm and welcoming about it, a foreboding Victorian-style monstrosity looming over the inexplicably eerie motel below. You know it the instant you see it, right? In context, yes.
