Has China beaten NASA to EM Drive 'Warp Drive' technology

NASA’s much-hyped EM Drive – often described as a ‘Warp Drive’ – made shockwaves around the world, with a propulsion system which seems to defy the laws of physics. But now China has claimed that it has its own version – and it’s already working. A video put out by a Chinese propaganda channel claims that Chinese scientists have a working prototype – something NASA has failed to achieve. The video claims that a working drive has been developed by CAST scientist Dr Chen Yue at China’s space agency. The engine works by bouncing microwaves around inside an enclosed container...

Incredible super-speed space engine could power humans to Mars in just SIX WEEKS

Russia is reportedly working on a super-fast spaceship which will propel cosmonauts to Mars in just six weeks. This would mean that cosmonauts could be the first humans to land on the surface of Mars, if the project hits its deadline of 2018. The project was originally overseen by the space agency RosCosmos, but development has now been shifted to a nuclear body called Rosatom. “A nuclear power unit makes it possible to reach Mars in a matter of one to one and a half months, providing capability for maneuvering and acceleration,” Sergey Kirienko, head of Rosatom told RT. “Today's...

Head Of NASA Answers Questions About Warp Travel, Aliens, And More

Two weeks ago, we asked you on Facebook to submit questions for our exclusive interview with NASA Administrator Charles Bolden. You can read our own grilling of the NASA chief in Part 1 of our two-part video, but here we present his answers to a selection of the thousands of questions you supplied. From the prospect of warp travel, his preference of "Star Trek" or "Star Wars," and the chances of finding alien life, Bolden tackled a huge range of questions. He even thinks the International Space Station (ISS) should win a Nobel Peace Prize. You can watch him answer...

NASA Tests Warp Drive Engine; Seems to be Working

NASA is testing a fuel-free engine which has been described as ‘impossible’ - and it seems to be working. The concept of the EM Drive was considered implausible - and scientists suggested that it broke the laws of physics. But in its first public update on its tests, NASA has said that the engine still appears to work. The engine works by bouncing microwaves around inside an enclosed container, and was designed by British researcher Roger Shawyer. Previously, NASA researchers have said that the drive is ‘ producing a force that is not attributable to any classical electromagnetic phenomenon’. If...

Building a Warp Drive in the Garage Lab

You might call David Pares one of those dreamers, though what he’s doing goes far beyond the realm of online chatter. Some guys spend their spare time restoring automobiles, devoting garage space to motionless Corvettes and Camaros. Pares is making his own warp drive. To hear him and his small team of supporters tell it, something weird is happening out here in the garage. “The compression of the fabric of space,” Pares says matter-of-factly. Pares’ garage is exactly as it sounds. This is not some converted hangar or temperature-controlled shed. Pares’ laboratory, the headquarters for his Space Warp Dynamics endeavor,...
