Beverley Gilmour believes that she is the only person in Britain to be receiving medical treatment for chronic near-death experiences. The mother-of-two said the supernatural happenings began back in 1987. Since then the 49-year-old claims to have had around three of the experiences every month. Ms Gilmour, from Lytham St Annes in Lancashire, said: "I have an out of body experience and my heart stops. "Most people who go through an NDE - a near death experience - have them on the operating table or in a moment of trauma like a car accident. "Most only have one such experience in a lifetime. "But I have been having three a month since 1987. I was terrified at first and a friend suggested it was near death experience." Ms Gilmour is still the director or a graphic design company, but is now registered as disabled. Her two sons, 27-year-old Oliver and 30-year-old Westley, look after her. She said: "I suffer from headaches and am on medication and my sons act as my carers. "I go into a trance like state whilst I am lying down. "I feel I move over to the after life. "I can see my own body and hear everything that is going around me." "It is not painful but when I come round I feel sore and stiff and my head burns. "I have no concept of time and have no idea how long it takes. I can be so exhausted I am bed-ridden for up to four days. "I have had to adjust my life around it." via Daily Express.
